Works by student composers can be difficult to find because they may not be published or recorded in traditional ways that rely on established reputations and conventions. One place you can find student publications, including scores, is in dissertation databases. So I selected recent compositions by student composers who submitted their dissertations or theses in Spring 2020. Recordings of student works are less likely to be accessible through Spotify or library databases, but I was able to find many student composers on Soundcloud, so I used that to construct this week's playlist.
It may not be an obvious place to look, but the ProQuest Dissertations and Theses database includes tons of scores, submitted by graduate students as their culminating project.
