Troubleshooting Linked Library Content in Canvas
Ask for information about the linked content you are troubleshooting:
- What class is this for?
- What is the title of the linked resource?
- Can you share the link you are currently using? (Copy and paste to email or chat.)
Follow these steps to provide a usable URL
- Verify resource/content availability by searching Search@UW or the source library database
- Provide a stable, proxied link to the resource and ask the user to test the link (Faculty may need to replace the link in their Canvas course completely)
- Provide a link to the Library Resources for Online Instruction LibGuide
- Create a ticket for unresolved questions and assign to Heidi Anoszko
- Heidi Anoszko will communicate with CETL as needed for follow-up or Canvas troubleshooting

Off-Campus URL GeneratorThe Off-Campus URL Generator will add the UWM proxy to a URL so that users are prompted to login with their ePanther ID and password when off-campus. Before using the URL generator, check to be sure the link does not already have the proxy embedded.
