Board Books:

1. Where are the Board Books located? Can you find a familiar favorite?

 

International Children's and Young Adult Collection

1. Name one title from the ICYAL reference area.

2. Can you find a book that you read in English written in a different language?

 

Picture Books:

1. Find one picture book of your choosing and note the author, title, and call number (found either on the spine or front cover).

2. Go to the Américas Collection. Can you find a picture book with illustrations you like? Who is the illustrator?

3. Can you find an Eric Carle book (call number C278). What is the title?

 

Fiction:

1. Can you find a Jacqueline Woodson book (call number W898)?

2. Can you find a book with a medal on the cover?

3. Find the books written by authors whose last names start with the letter M. Choose one you'd like to read.

4. Find a book you've read before. Can you find another title by that author that you'd like to read?

5. Find a series of books and count how many books are in the series. 

 

Nonfiction:

1. Some books about animals can be found under the Dewey Decimal numbers 590-599. Can you find one?

2. Individual biographies about one person are found under 921. Can you find one of someone you recognize?

3. Go to section 745, where some crafting books can be found. Can you pick one out with crafts you think you would enjoy?

4. Can you find a book of fairy tales (Dewey Decimal number 398.2)?
