2)      Marquette (414) 288-7555 and Milwaukee Public Library (414) 286-3011 branches are our two preferred libraries to send patrons to.

3)      We do not issue INFOPASSes unless the patron is present for the transaction, this means INFOPASS is not to be issued via email, phone or QP chat.

4)      The responsibility of searching for, finding and recording book holdings information is on the student/staff/faculty who would like to make the request. When they bring a book to us to request we…

  • Verify they are affiliated with UWM. To do this, ask them to login to their ‘My Library Account’ with their 11-digit UWM ID number and make sure they have NO overdue items and less than $10 in fines.

  • Ask for government issued photo ID (this could be their campus ID card) and confirm that the name listed on their Library Account is the same name on the ID.

  • Search the UWM Libraries collections for the item, making sure the item is not in the building for patron use or check out. This means if the book is checked out or missing we will still request the book.

  • Contact the lending library to notify them of an incoming InfoPass user and to be sure they will circulate the book. If calling Marquette, be sure to confirm the book will be pulled for the patron.

5)      To issue the pass…
