How do I find a call number on the shelf?
Follow these steps when you're looking for a book on the shelf.
UWM students, staff, and faculty have access to books and media held across the UW System. Search the library catalog, Search@UW, to find and request items from other UW campus libraries for free.
Use the Interlibrary Loan form to request articles, chapters, books and other media that the UWM Libraries does not own. You will also see this form when you click "Request Item" in the library databases. Interlibrary loan requests are free.
WorldCat holds tens of millions of bibliographic records that represent more than one billion items. It encompasses hundreds of languages and all formats, including rapidly growing numbers of electronic resources and digital objects.
Use the tool WorldCat to search for books outside the UW System and request them for free through Interlibrary loan.
