It is likely that campus will implement an accessibility audit of all UWM webpages. We do not have details about how and when this web crawl exercise will be take place, but we should get more details during the Fall term. Here is what we do know:
We have over 300 published LibGuides that all need to be evaluated and remediated for accessibility
Because we have a large collection of LibGuides, the library will have thousands more pages to review and remediate compared to other campus units
We share responsibility for the compliance of our web content because there are so many different webpage and LibGuide editors. It may not be challenging to triage accessibility remediation tasks to the correct content owners depending on how the web crawl report is packaged.
