Using Microfilm

The UWM Libraries Microtext Room is located in the Lower-level, West wing of the Library (link to building information and maps). Before visiting the microfilm room:

  1. UWM Students, staff and faculty should reserve a time to use the Microfilm Reader.
  2. Get the password for the computer hooked up to the microfilm reader from the Borrowing Services Desk (Circulation) on the 1st floor.

Microtext is shelved in cabinets by call number and is self-service, but you do not need to reshelve the microfilm when you are done.
