Women's Studies 200/201: Women's Work

These records document the organization's role in improving the conditions for working women through education, participation in community affairs, and legislative action. Covering the years 1920-1998, the collection contains an almost complete run of the organization's newsletters, the Bulletin (1922-1948) and the Broadcaster (1948-1998), as well as executive committee minutes, committee reports and correspondence files; these files comprise the bulk of the collection.

We recommend you look at Box 2 file 35, and Box 3, files 39 and 58 regarding their work on the ERA through the years.

Minutes, newsletters, miscellaneous print and near print materials of an umbrella group of women's organizations in Milwaukee (Wis.) whose activities included advocating for battered women, “Take Back the Night” rallies, running a women's crisis line, and fighting for other feminist goals.
