Welcome! This guide contains three sections, under the tabs Evaluation Sources, Using Sources, and Following the Conversation. These are intended to support your work on your final project for Theatre 321 or 322, by helping you understand and assess the sources you find in your research.

Since these courses fulfill the GER oral and written communication requirement, we will focus particularly on learning skills for using research and sources in your writing, especially how to:

• Evaluate the credibility of sources you encounter in theatre research.
• Understanding the purpose and audience of your sources, and your own writing.
• Follow scholarly conversations, and place sources in conversation with each other in your own writing.
