MUSIC 212: History of Western Music 2

Introduction 

Writing about music history requires you to combine information from multiple kinds of sources: you'll need to draw information from scores and recordings, combine it with historical information and analysis from books and articles, and, often, integrate your own informed analysis or interpretation.

So, you'll have to use a number of different approaches to finding sources for your paper. The pages on this guide will help you locate scores, recordings, books and articles, with an emphasis on items available online for the Spring 2020 semester.
