Here are some examples of citations for maps in the Chicago style using this map Flowers, Birds and Trees of the United States.
TIP: While not an official Chicago style rule, it is good practice to add the name of the institution where you found the map, along with the call number provided by said institution at the end of the citation.
In Text Citation:
1. Name of creator, Name of map in italics, year, size and/or scale, place published.
NOTE: If the map is published online, include the publishing organization's name and the URL. If the map was published in a book, include the volume information and year of publication.
