UWM Libraries have the largest collection of music in Southeastern Wisconsin, including 60,000 LPs, nearly 16,000 CDs, 30,000 books about music, and 30,000 pieces of printed music, plus millions of streaming tracks in our online databases. The Music Collection is part of the Golda Meir Library: check the Libraries' website for the most up-to-date hours and policies.
Items from other UW libraries will appear in your Search@UW results. You can request items from other campuses, and they'll be on hold for you at Golda Meir Library within a few days.
Even if the UW system doesn't own an item, we can almost always get it for you. You can fill out a request for a book, article, chapter, score, etc. via Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad).
Students and faculty can request a one-on-one or small group meeting with the Music and Performing Arts Librarian to talk about any aspect of the research process.
