The World Digital Library makes it possible to discover, study, and enjoy cultural treasures and significant historical documents on one site, in a variety of ways. Content on the WDL includes books, manuscripts, maps, newspapers, journals, prints and photographs, sound recordings, and film.

The Society's world-class collections contain an extraordinary range of artifacts and information about American history, from the remote archaeological past to current events. North American genealogy and Wisconsin history are particular collection strengths.

Immigrant Stories is a research and archiving project run by the Immigration History Research Center (IHRC) at the University of Minnesota. Immigrant Stories helps immigrants, refugees, and their family members create digital stories: brief videos with images, text, and audio about a personal experience.

Ana Claudia, Fernando, Gilberto, Jennifer, Mario, Panfilo, Cinthia, and Saul live and work in Wisconsin today. They immigrated here from homes in Colombia, Honduras, Mexico, and Uruguay. Their stories were told to Bill Berry, a Wisconsin-based journalist, and they were photographed by Pulitzer-Prize winner Gary Porter.

mmigrant Oral Histories presents a collection of over 360 oral history interviews conducted between 1967 and 2012 with recent immigrants to Minnesota and their American-born children, including both streaming audio and written transcripts accessible online in digital formats. These interviews are a unique source of contemporary history through the experiences of the newest Americans, in their own words. New oral history projects will continue to be added to this site as they are completed.
