By completing the following tasks you will become familiar with the library search strategies and scholarly databases you will need to complete the research assignments for this course.
Download a personal copy of the Literature Review Activity. This will be used to create a research plan for your topic (the deviant behavior) and it will allow your instructor to see your plan for the sources you will use.
Watch Using Curiosity: Mindmapping and Searching the Web and complete Task 1 of the Literature Review Activity including the graphic organizer/mind map. This step will result in a set of important terms you will incorporate in your search. Keep adding it to it throughout the search process.
Watch College-level Search Strategies and complete Task 2 and 3 of the Literature Review Activity. This step will allow you to see a sample search in Sociological Abstracts and select other relevant databases for your search.
Turn in a copy of your Literature Review Activity to your instructor via Canvas.
