Films on Demand is is integrated into the campus instance of Canvas, and you can search for and embed Films on Demand content directly from the Canvas Rich Text editor when creating a page.
1. From the Rich Text Editor in Canvas, click on the blue Apps icon (looks like a plug). Select the option for Films On Demand. Select View All if Films on Demand doesn't appear in your Apps Menu.
Canvas-integrated apps will appear in an alphabetical list. Select Films on Demand from the list of options.
2. This will open the Films On Demand search window. You can search by title if you have a specific film in mind, or you can search by keyword and browse the available selection of content.
3. To the right of the film record in your search results, click on the Embed button and choose the size of the video display you would prefer: small (420px), medium (660px), or large (885px).
The video will embed within the text editor automatically. The saved page will look something like this:
Embedding video segments into Canvas is similar to embedding full films.

2. This will launch the Films On Demand search window. If you know the name of the specific segment, search for that, or search by keyword. You can also search by keyword. Once your search results have loaded, you will be presented with options to filter your search results.
3. Set the Format filter to Segment and then click Apply. Your search results will be limited to segments of full length films.
4. After this, the process for embedding a segment will be the same as that of a full-length film.
The best way to include Docuseek2 content into your Canvas course is to provide a an off-campus access URL that links to the specific film you'd like students to view.
1. Below the film you'd like to share, click </> Embed. This will launch a new window with different link options:
2. Copy the Permanent link (the second link option).
3. Then, open the Off-Campus URL Generator, and paste this URL into the the box titled: Stable URL from e-journal, database, or e-reserves. Copy the Off-Campus URL to create linked text in Canvas.
4. Use this off-campus access URL as to create hyperlinked text in your Canvas page. Canvas instructions for creating external links in Canvas.

1. Search or browse for the film you'd like to include in Canvas. In the bottom, right corner of Swank Digital Campus Media viewer, click on Copy Direct Link.
2. The Swank Digital Campus Direct Link is an Off-campus Access URL. Use this URL to create hyperlinked text in your Canvas page. Canvas instructions for creating external links in Canvas.
