The library contributes to the UW-Milwaukee campus and mission by frequently displaying ehibits, hosting events and guest speakers and by conducting special interest meetings. These events and news about the library can all be found and followed on this page.
The library regularly updates the news and events of interest on the webpage so as to inform people of the new and interesting items going on. Such news includes information on grant awards, new hires, added collections and many other items.
Another method of keeping up-to-date with library news is by joining one of the many social media groups hosted by the library and by various departments throughout the libraries.
All members of campus are invited to attend library events. Guest speakers and discussions on research resources provide updated information and current knowledge on trends affecting academe.
The Digital Humanities Lab (DH Lab) housed in the library also hosts several events. The DH Lab aims to engage faculty and graduate students in the arts, humanities, and performing arts digital research and to encourage experimentation with and application of technology to arts, humanities, and performing arts research and teaching.
