Tasks

1. Set up your profile

Access your profile by going to the LibApps Dashboard.

  • Add your contact information
  • Add a profile photo of yourself
  • Add a LibAnswers chat widget to your profile by copying and pasting the code widget code into the "LibAnswers Widget Code field" (code is at the bottom of this page)

    • Note: you do not need to have a LibAnswers account to add the chat widget to your profile. The chat widget connects users with he general LibAnswers chat queue that is staffed by User Services interns. It will not open a chat conversation with the librarian featured in the profile box.

2. Add a sandbox sub-page to this guide

  • Sign into your LibGuides Account. From your LibGuides dashboard, search for "training"

  • Click the Add Page button (below the blue navigation buttons on the left, look for the +).

  • When the new page dialog box opens:
    • Name the page after yourself.
    • Use the Position dropdown to make your new page a subpage of the Sandbox tab.
    • Save & Close

​​3. Add your profile box to the small column

  • Hint: After you've added a profile box, use the gear icon (Edit Profile Selection) to select your profile

4. Map a box from the LibGuides Repository

  • Hint: The process of mapping/reusing can only be done from the guide you're editing. However, it is helpful to keep the LibGuides Repository open in another tab or window so that you can verify the page and box title of the item you'd like to add to your guide.

5. Create a new box
