Overview and Table of Contents
Welcome new student workers! Many of you are "front line" staff - the ones who interact the most with UWM's students, faculty, staff, and community users. Others of you are behind-the-scenes staff, helping to keep our services and facilities running smoothly. The UWM Libraries values your hard work and good ideas. We couldn't run the UWM Libraries as well without you!
This Training and Information Guide corresponds to sessions presented at the September 1, 2011 All-Library Student Orientation Day. Students unable to attend are encouraged to review each tab and work with your supervisor to identify other appropriate training material.
This guide is intended to be a work in progress. You are encouraged to help develop, modify and update the information as needed to reflect current needs. This guide includes materials from each of the training session, general information useful to all student workers, and links to other sources of useful information.
If you come across anything in the guide that is incorrect, out of date, or simply something that you think would be nice to add please leave feedback!
Research & Instructional Support Department Interns and Field Work students may also go here for the supplemental training specific to RIS.
